Salisbury House Beaconsfield Upper | Your Family, Our Family!

Our Salisbury House in Beaconsfield Upper is a charming blend of history and modernity. This heritage-listed building, originally established as a country guest house in 1888, once welcomed travellers from across Australia and abroad, and even served as a haven for servicemen on leave during World War II. Guests could enjoy a game of tennis (where our new extension now stands) or play croquet on the front lawn—a pastime our residents can still enjoy today.

The original building has been lovingly renovated, preserving its ornate fixtures and grand arches, reminiscent of an era fondly remembered by our residents and appreciated by the local community. The recently added, state-of-the-art extension includes 30 single, climate-controlled bedrooms, multiple lounge and dining areas, and seating areas on balconies that offer stunning views—from Arthur’s Seat on the Mornington Peninsula to Western Port Bay, French Island, and beyond. Each space boasts luxurious appointments and interior-designed décor for an inviting, comfortable experience.

An especially notable feature of this new wing is the bushfire refuge, designed to accommodate over 120 people in the event of a significant fire. This extension is equipped with extensive fire safety measures, including a fire sprinkler pump, fire-resistant materials, Cevalar fire curtains, metal shutters, a dedicated diesel generator, and more—critical safeguards for our community residing in the hills.

Our Waratah Wing supports residents living with dementia and/or cognitive impairment. It features both internal and external courtyards, promoting freedom of movement in a safe, secure environment. This wing is in high demand within our local area.

What Menarock LIFE

Residents and Family Say

My husband has been at Emmavale Gardens for months. He has a number of Dementia issues which the staff are managing with memory support. The staff are caring, remember my husband’s name, which is very important to him.The place is clean. Nurses are on duty at all times, visiting doctors, dentists, hairdressers and a laundry. They have in house catering with dining room meals. They have staff who involve the residents in games, especially mini golf, and there is much laughter. I highly commend the staff.

Judith Groat

A fantastic home where we as family have faith & confidence in the staff looking after my husband. We can only praise & count our blessings. Experienced, talented, skilled employees who do work hard, sometimes in challenging conditions. Thank you to everyone. – Lai & on behalf of the Chong and Robinson families.

My sister in law has moved into the nursing home here and is so much happier than before and is so happy that we have moved her to here.

Heather Alden-Brown

My dearest mum was at Greenway Gardens in Heathmont until recently. I would sincerely like to thank Julia the Director of Nursing who has a true heart of gold, and her beautiful and gracious staff for looking after my mum with such tender loving care. Such a warm and cosy atmosphere with a lovely bush setting. I was in there every day with my mum and did get to know the staff well. I found it to be very reassuring knowing that mum was in good hands. Thank you all so very much 🌹
