Our aged care team at Sherbrooke had the heart warming privilege of visiting a place full of childhood memories.
Eva, one of our cherished residents, visited Monbulk Primary School in the beautiful Dandenong Ranges, where she was a student back in the 1930s.
She was accompanied by her loving husband, who also resides at Menarock LIFE Sherbrooke Aged Care. With Katy as their guide, they walked down memory lane and explored the school grounds and classrooms, reflecting on how much had changed nearly a century ago.
The visit was such a sentimental moment that put smiles and brought a few happy tears. It became even more special when Eva and the team had the pleasure of meeting today’s students. The children were thrilled to hear her stories and learn what school life was like nearly a century ago.
Sharing moments together like this is what we are all about.
They reminds us why we love what we do. We’re more than aged care providers. Being present to honour our residents’ histories and stories is a privilege that we are so grateful for.
Thank you to the wonderful team at Monbulk Primary School for your warm hospitality and for making this visit so memorable.
